REBECCA DOUGLAS BSc Hons Chiro MMCA

Rebecca is a fully qualified McTimoney Chiropractor, registered with the General Chiropractic Council and McTimoney Chiropractic Association (www.mctimoney-chiropractic.org/).  Rebecca is also a qualified Applied Kinesiologist.  She is also currently undertaking a MSc in Clinical Neurology.

Rebecca has run her own clinic for 5 years and worked at the McTimoney Chiropractic College Clinic.

Rebecca was a forceps baby and therefore had quite a traumatic birth.  As a young child she had recurrent ear infections and nearly lost her hearing completely.  On top of this she is a keen horse rider and has had many falls some minor and others more serious plus a serious car accident.  Due to all these rather unfortunate events a biomechanical imbalance in Rebecca’s jaw and neck meant that as a teenager she suffered from daily headaches, neck and shoulder pain and monthly excruciating headaches where only a darkened room would suffice.  After trying many avenues of treatment she finally found McTimoney Chiropractic.  She believes because the whole body was treated, especially her pelvis which was very unbalanced, the treatment finally started to relieve the pain.

After her first degree in Behavioural Sciences (psychology and zoology) she decided to study McTimoney Chiropractic as she wanted to be involved in a health care role she felt passionate about.  Since her experience with her own treatment was so successful she started down the long path of study at the McTimoney College.

Rebecca loves her job, seeing people become well and their pain fading into the background plus the opportunity to have a good chat too!!
